Mansfield District Hospital

Robert began his career over thirty years ago in the United States as a research & development engineer for USAF advanced weapon systems, before moving into senior roles for multinational companies in the US and Australia. 

He has held many executive roles including program management, corporate strategy, and business advisory services within the telecommunications, IT, and Government industry sectors. 

His previous Board experience includes non-executive director positions for Superannuation and State Government entities.  Robert holds degrees of MBA and BSEE from leading universities in the US

Sandy sold his printing business in Melbourne after 25 years of operation and retired to Mansfield with his wife Lindy in 1992.

Since arriving in Mansfield he has had a strong involvement with community and community issues.

·         He has served as Chair of the Mansfield District Tourism Association

·         Was a founding Director and Deputy Chair of High Country Reservations

·         Chaired the Mansfield Economic Development Association

·         Chaired the Mansfield Public Liability Task Force

·         Played a central role in the Delatite Shire de-amalgamation whilst serving on the Mansfield District Residents and Ratepayers Executive

·         He has established and managed a number of successful community events including:

o    the Maxwell-Davis walk to Melbourne to raise funding for the Bindaree re-development, and

o    the first regional points accredited professional tennis tournament in regional Victoria, which ran in Mansfield for some 10 years.

He is passionate about the Mansfield District Hospital, a passion he shares with Lindy who served as a Board member and Senior Vice President
